Relief for Half a million Indians regarding H-1B visa
Now half a million Indians including guest worker H-1B visa holders can breathe easy for one year at a time. Officials of US immigration had said that they are not considering a regulatory change that would compel the H-1B visa holders to leave the US after the limit of six years.
However, a possibility that there would be changes which will allow the H-1B visa holders who have the Green card are said to remain in the US only one year at a time instead of the present three-year extensions which makes the process more annoying.
“If it were also, then such kind of changes would not result in these have to leave the US because the employers could request the extensions in one-year increments under a separate rule”, said by McClatchy an official of the USCIS(The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services).
