Samsung’s New Refrigerator : Yes, now it’s possible to ask your fridge to book a ride with Uber. Samsung on Sunday revealed its latest home appliances at CES gadget show in the LAS VEGAS which also includes an upgraded to its 2-year-old line of Internet-connected refrigerators.
People now can talk with ‘Family Hub 3.0’ refrigerator from their kitchen only and can ask it to help in preparing the meals, keep track of whether their products still fresh or not, control other home appliances and also ask it to book a ride with Uber.
The new refrigerator can recognize the different members of a family by the sounds of their voices. It will allow the users to control the lights, check the temperature and even can monitor a security camera.
The refrigerator also has a built-in AKG speaker that promises richer bass and midrange sounds and makes it ideal for long time cooking sessions. It mainly uses Samsung’s new Bixby voice assistant. Now the Samsung Company is trying to compete with Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant.
The marketing director of Samsung’s refrigerator Claudia said that the fridge makes sense as a smart home hub because most of the time people use to spend near the fridge.
