Newly released Epic 1 Review
Epic 1 Review :
Epic 1 is the best phone in phones under 15k budgets. The decacore is fine in just benchmark and there is no difference in real time mainly the user interface minus point. For smart camera phones, it is better to select Nubia Z11 mini and Moto G4 plus. For better performance, it is good to choose Le 2 and Redmi Note 3. In India, Infocus has released a smartphone with decade core processor under the name Epic 1 for Rs 12,999/-.
Not different but good. The design is great but now all the companies have similar design and the phone is also available in premium. There is also an IR blaster and headset jack on the top of the phone. Below the phone, you can see the single speaker grill, USB type c port and noise cancellation mike and two screws.
You can also see the noise cancellation mike under the camera module. Next the volume a power button is present on the right side top. Overall the phone supports the single hand usage and around the round edges will be more convenient while holding the phone in hands.
The 1080P display is bright enough and has decent colors. It also gives minimum Lux Luminance, means it is brighter than XiaomiRedmi Note 3 and Le 2. While viewing angles are slightly smaller than the display shed, but it does not use the phone in the extreme angle, it’s also good in real use. The 401PPi pixel density is also good enough. For some people, it seems to be in cool colors mode. That’s why the company provided with the quick settings to change it to warm mode. It is one of the best phones in good colors and smooth touch performance.
User Interface (UI): not bad and not even stable also.
Generally,Infocus UI does not become so optimize so this phone is also same as the phone InLife UI. Both functions and looks wise it is not so good. Infocus round icons are not even right. It has pre-installed apps also and these are not even being removable. In addition to this, the fingerprint sensor does not even respond properly.
Phone performance is not as smooth as the InLife User Interface. Also, the phone has also seen logging in UI transitions occasionally. This is why the UI is not optimized properly. When it comes to the processor, the Helio X20 manages underpins 15k budget competing with all the phones performance is fast and smooth. The processor is not going to the highest clock speed. Approximately 1.4GHz is expected to have longer loading times.
This means in real time the deca core processor does not work enough in Epic 1. The Redmi Note 3 and Le 2 are competing in the benchmark scores with 8 courses but due to the two extra scores. But in real time you cannot show an extra speed in use. While Infocus does not clean the UI AS Xiaomi but it comes with minimal optimization. Graphics performance is less than those two phones in Epic 1.
Good but compared a little bit less than usual. The 16MP f/2.0 aperture rear camera comes with CMOS Sensor. The camera I as descent and dependent photos are given when lighting. On the other hand, noise levels in indoor and low lighting are higher than average. It is not better than Note 3 and Le 2. The speed is also low compared to other competitors. It also takes Autofocus time and touch- focus and seems due to the optimization in image processing.
The first weakest point in this phone is the battery, the battery test which gives you less than four hours of back up. This is the lowest score on all phones coming in this range. The reason behind this is 10 cores processor and the company is not optimized in the case of battery issues. If you use battery saver mode regularly in a day then only it will come back till night and need to charge the battery for twice a day.
Epic 1 is a better phone which comes under the 15k budget plan but not recommended. For better camera usage use Nubia Z11 mini and Moto G4 plus. For better performance and good usage, it is recommended to take Le 2 or Redmi Note 3.
